Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

In order to progress to the second year, students must have completed 24 credits from the proposed study programme and a specific number of credits envisaged by the other part of the two-subject study programme. In order to progress to the third year, students must have completed all 30 credits from the first year and 24 credits from the second year of the proposed study programme and a specific number of credits envisaged by the other part of the two-subject study programme.

Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)

In order to complete the programme, students must complete all course units prescribed by the programme and present and successfully defend a bachelor's seminar paper, for a total of at least 90 credits. In order to complete a two-subject programme, students must complete all course units prescribed in both parts of the two-subject study programme. Thus in order to complete a two-subject study programme, students must complete 180 credits (90 in the proposed subject and 90 in the other part of the two-subject programme).
