The qualification holder will be able to:

  • understand the importance of a socially responsible business concept,
  • adopt innovative ideas, entrepreneurship and the success of business networks in project development of innovations and ensure legal compliance as a factor to minimise commercial risk,
  • understand and use information and communication technology – manage operations in an e-environment, develop ICT in a business environment and be included in e-supported business and social networks,
  • develop communication skills in their native and foreign languages,
  • apply basic quantitative methods for professional communication on quantitative and value parameters of measuring the quality of operations,
  • learn to learn, pursue team work and the process of constant improvement (Deming cycle) as values that enable comprehensive personal development, ensure continuity in the development of the individual and the environment in which they are involved,

  • address the functioning of the business system and its legal framework,
  • assess the effectiveness of fundamental business functions,
  • apply the theoretical foundations of the area of management and law in analysing basic processes and relations in business practice,
  • detect and critically address cases of deviations in the functioning of management from the legal framework of entrepreneurship,
  • prepare typical documents for implementing management functions (plans, analyses, organisational forms, organisational regulations etc.) and regulating legal relations (labour law documents, sales documents, legal acts of an organisation etc.),
  • organise and head small companies,
  • analyse the market and the business environment,
  • keep abreast of court decisions that are important for minimising commercial risks,
  • acquire professional knowledge important for the field of employment,
  • assess the academic achievements and professional development of students.

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students must acquire at least 45 credits from the first year to progress to the second year, and acquire at least 45 credits from the second year and complete all requirements from the first year to progress to the third year.

Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)

In order to complete their studies, students must complete all study programme requirements consisting of 180 credits.
