The qualification holder will be able to:
- operationally set up, master and maintain the basic (i.e. transformational) process in the environment where they operate (the business process in the case of business systems),
- organise processes to develop products (products and/or services)
- organise processes of planning and managing the production of products and/or services,
- organise and coordinate processes intended for the production of products and/or services,
- organise and coordinate project management processes,
- organise and coordinate quality control processes,
- optimise standards for work, materials, means of work, deadlines, tolerances etc.,
- maintain the organisation of integral and partial business and work systems,
- envisage and allocate equipment and funds for work,
- organise transportation,
- define uniform standards for product and service production,
- monitor the efficiency of business and work systems,
- determine the work contributions of groups, teams and units,
- motivate employees for success at work,
- innovate,
- master the basics of technological systems and environmental protection,
- make rational use of IT to support the basic (i.e. transformational) process and so forth.
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
Students must acquire at least 45 credits from the first year to progress to the second year, and acquire at least 45 credits from the second year and complete all requirements from the first year to progress to the third year.
Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)
Students must meet all requirements defined by the study programme to complete their studies.
