The qualification holder will be able to:
  • take a broad view of management from the organisational, IT, economic and project aspect,
  • analyse business processes from the IT aspect and be aware of the importance of the IT system in ensuring the successful and efficient operation of the organisation,
  • analyse the need for information in the business system of the organisation and in the organisation’s local environment,
  • plan and implement an IT system of the organisation, taking account of modern trends of IT development and with the cooperation of users in the practical field,
  • show a knowledge of the methods and techniques for professional training of users for the requirements of development, use and maintenance of an organisation’s IT system,
  • understand the role and importance of integral software solutions that can contribute to improving the operation of the organisation, and understand the functioning of specific components (modules) of such solution,
  • introduce specific components of an integrated software solution in practice while taking into account the overall solution and issue of linking with similar solutions at a business partner,
  • develop prototype solutions regarding the problem defined together with the client; present ideas for solutions to the client and propose the conditions and limitations of its implementation.

Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Students may progress to the next year if by the end of the academic year they have completed all requirements defined by the study programme for progression to the next year.

Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)

Students must meet all requirements defined by the study programme to complete their studies.
