The qualification holder will be able to:

  • integrate theoretical knowledge from various fields with practical experience,
  • demonstrate mastery of basic theoretical and practical knowledge for the autonomous performance of work and work in an interdisciplinary team in diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional radiological procedures, and an ability to assess and satisfy patient's needs while observing the principles of professional ethics,
  • demonstrate communication skills and communication, including communication in the international environment,
  • analyse professional problems and synthesise appropriate solutions; participate in an interdisciplinary team,
  • perform work in accordance with applicable legislation on protection from ionising radiation in diagnostic procedures, optimise radiation doses and evaluate the correctness of the use of ionising radiation from the point of view of risk and benefits for patients,
  • assess the quality of the technological part of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiological procedures,
  • participate in research in own professional field,
  • undertake independent advanced study in own professional field, demonstrate well-developed learning skills, demonstrate a positive attitude and sense of responsibility with regard to studying, acquire and apply information from various sources, and show awareness of the importance of lifelong learning.

Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, the candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

In order to enrol in a higher year the student must have completed the previous year with proof of attendance in all subjects, completed all practical exercises and clinical practice and obtained the appropriate number of credits. For enrolment in the second year at least 54 credits from the first year are needed; for enrolment in the third year 60 credits are needed from the first year and at least 54 from the second year.

Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)

To complete their studies, students must meet all requirements for all subjects in which they have enrolled, and pass a diploma examination.
