The qualification holder will be able to:
- communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to a well-informed audience,
- think analytically,
- perform tasks in an organised and accurate manner,
- adapt to new situations and make decisions,
- plan and manage time,
- demonstrate professional, ethical and environmental responsibility,
- demonstrate capacities that satisfy conditions for initial employment in a general position, including positions in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries,
- undertake independent learning in their professional field; acquire the learning skills necessary for further study with a sufficient degree of autonomy.
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).
In order to enrol in the second year, students must have completed 60 credits; in order to enrol in the third year, students must have completed all first-year course units (60 credits) and 60 second-year credits.
Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)
In order to complete the programme, students must complete course units in all subjects of the study programme in which they have enrolled, accumulate 180 credits and write and successfully defend a bachelor's thesis.
