  • General secondary, or technical or vocational secondary education and a least five years experience as a cashier, and
  • confirmation of no criminal record due to punishable acts against life and limb, human health, property, the economy, legal transactions, official duty and public authorisation or public order.

The candidate:

  • plans, prepares and controls own work,
  • communicates with co-workers and clients,
  • communicates with clients in one foreign language,
  • ensures and is liable for the quality of services rendered and work performed,
  • performs work in accordance with occupation health and safety regulations,
  • takes over and opens cashier’s desk,
  • manages cashier’s desk,
  • maintains documentary records for the cashier’s desk, and
  • closes the cashier’s desk.

Verification and assessment are carried out by committees for the verification and validation of national vocational qualifications, appointed by the National Examination Centre (NEC). Committee members must be licensed by the National Examination Centre. Licences may be found here [2].

VALIDATION

During the counselling process, the candidate prepares a portfolio. The relevant committee assesses the portfolio and recognises the catalogue content in part or full. If the committee is unable to recognise all catalogue content, it assigns tasks to the candidate for verification.

VERIFICATION METHOD

Practical verification with an oral presentation of specialised theoretical knowledge that lasts for no more than 60 minutes.

A candidate demonstrates the attainment of the knowledge, skills and competences defined in the catalogue of standards of vocational knowledge and skills. 

Providers of procedures for identifying and validating national vocational qualifications are entered in a register of providers maintained in the relevant collection of the National Reference Point for Occupational Qualifications. Providers include: vocational schools, companies, inter-company training centres, adult education centres, chambers of commerce, etc.
