Food technology foreman:
- lead a group in a work process following a prescribed technological procedure in the production of food products,
- plan and organise own work and the work of teams,
- perform more complex professional work,
- participate in the operational preparation, planning and standardisation of production,
- organise the production and delivery of semi-finished products and products and raw materials and repro-material,
- ensure the realisation of a production plan,
- control implementation of work and the quality of input raw materials, semi-products and products,
- keep documentation on work performed, raw materials used and working time,
- transfer knowledge and experience to co-workers, motivate workers for work, seek and propose innovations and offer useful suggestions or solutions,
- transfer knowledge, skills and experience to apprentices and students,
- implement sanitary and technical regulations and regulations on safety at work, fire safety and environmental protection.
Members of examination boards for each examination unit separately. Appointed by the minister responsible for education. Appointment may be renewed every 4 years.
Candidates sit a foreman examination, which consists of four units:
- a practical unit,
- a technical and theoretical part,
- a business and economics part,
- an education part.
Candidates must pass all (four) units of the foreman examination to obtain the title of food technology foreman.
