The qualification holder  is qualified to:

  • shares knowledge, technical understanding and written expression in native language and one foreign language,
  • searches for sources and critically assesses information,

  • use acquired knowledge to independently resolve technical and scientific problems relating to computer and information science, and enhance previously acquired knowledge,

  • develop professional responsibility and ethics,

(subject-specific competences)

  • possesses basic theoretical and practical computer and information science knowledge and skills,
  • understand and integrate computer and information science knowledge in other relevant technical and vocational fields (e.g. economics, organisation sciences, etc.),
  • possess practical knowledge and skills in the use of software, hardware and information technologies,
  • independently perform less complex and complex developmental engineering and organisational tasks in areas relating to own work, and independently resolve specific, well-defined tasks in computer and information science areas, and
  • continue studies in the second cycle.

Assesment and completion:
Examination performance is scored as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

All requirements met for the current year and all examinations completed from previous years. An additional condition for enrolment in the second year is an examination of students’ knowledge of the Slovene language for foreign students.
