The qualification holder will be able to:

  • understand speakers of Italian and other languages,
  • provide linguistic mediation and eliminate obstacles to communication,
  • constantly improve already acquired knowledge and abilities in accordance with the rapid development of the discipline and show willingness for such improvement.

Assesment and completion:
Students' knowledge is assessed by means of practical exercises and seminar papers, and also via products, projects, performances, services, etc. and by examinations. Examination performance is graded as follows: 10 (excellent); 9 (very good: above-average knowledge but with some mistakes); 8 (very good: solid results); 7 (good); 6 (adequate: knowledge satisfies minimum criteria); 5–1 (inadequate). In order to pass an examination, a candidate must achieve a grade between adequate (6) and excellent (10).

Progress:

In order to progress from the first to the second year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the first year, for a total of 60 credits. In order to progress from the second to the third year, students must have completed all course units prescribed by the curriculum and individual syllabuses for the second year, amounting to 60 credits, in other words a total of 120 credits for the first and second years.

Second-cycle master's study programmes (SQF level 8)

Conditions for obtaining a public document:

Students must complete all course units prescribed by the study programmes and the syllabuses of the subjects prescribed in the selected programmes, for a total of 90 credits in the Italian language and literature programme and 90 credits in the other subject of the two-subject programme (for a total of 180 credits in the two study programmes). The overall programme is only completed when students have completed all course units in both chosen disciplines, as laid down by the study programmes and syllabuses of individual subjects, for a total of 180 credits.
